Updated in 2008 for the new Early Years Foundation Stage

The Birth to Three document and the Foundation Document have been combined to form the Early Years Foundation Stage Document. We have upgraded our Early Years document in line with these changes. It gives greater continuity and makes it easier for professionals to identify pupils progress through the levels.

New users will find a simple to use way of demonstrating pupils progress using small SMART targets that build to give a clear picture of the child’s development within a level or as they progress through the levels. All staff and parents can be kept informed of a pupils rate and level of development enabling them to respond to and support the pupil in an appropriate manner.

Software users who have our previous version of our Early Steps Assessment can upgrade to the new updated curriculum and all their assessment records will be transferred to the new curriculum.
