Small Steps is our National Curriculum assessment file covering English, Maths and Science from Level 1 to Level 5. Each subject is broken down into its components:

The Small Steps Assessment covering the first 5 levels of the National Curriculum is great for Primary schools as well as Special schools. The detail allows individualised learning for all pupils, including the gifted and talented. With higher achievers teachers can use the assessment sheets for self assessment, asking the pupils what they think they have learnt and talking about the skills they will learn next.

Other Subjects

We produce assessment for the National Curriculum covering ICT, PHSE & Citizenship, PE, Geography, History, RE, Design & Technology, Art & Design, Music and Modern Foreign Languages. The assessment files are in the same format as our main National Curriculum assessment and allow progress to be shown across the levels.

Our PHSE & Citizenship assessment is unique; there are currently no National Curriculum levels for PHSE & Citizenship. We have looked at the schemes of work, lesson plans and other materials from the government and used this to create an assessment package covering PHSE & Citizenship up to Level 5 of the National Curriculum. This allows schools to track progress through the National Curriculum and help plan the next steps.
