 Screenshot showing information for whole class, boxes shaded green are targets which the student have mastered. Blue shaded boxes show the student has experienced that assessment point. The letter inside the box, shows the level of experience, for experienced there is awareness, encountered, gaining skills, participation and for a mastered assessment point there is mastered or confirmed. The number of different values used, can be set by the school.

From the data entered the computer is able to show the number of times a pupils has experienced the assessment point. Using this screen can help teachers with planning, showing areas that have not been approached and areas that the child is having difficulty in grasping. By double clicking on one of the points, you can easily create an IEP.
 This is an IEP report created using Connecting Steps. They are saved on the computer and can be printed out or have comments added at any time. The strategies used to to complete and IEP can be saved and reused, with a multi user licence they can also be exported to disk for use on other computers using the Connecting Steps software
 This screen shows the progress through each strand for a pupil, showing the current level they are working at. For completed levels the date is shown, from either when all assessment points have been marked completed or the teacher has manually entered the date when they they feel the level was mastered.
 This is the progress screen showing Value Added. It shows a pupil's progress term by term, in the different strands for each of the subjects (as in the previous screen shot) This is very useful in showing progress of a pupil, by showing progress as a percentage of a level, rather than complete levels.
 This is a graph of the progress of a pupil across time, these graphs are automatically updated every time data is entered into the assessment program. This graph shows the progress of a pupil with maths, the different lines are the different strands within maths (number, using and applying, space, shape and measure and data handling)

The new version of Connecting Steps holds more information on each pupil, such as results of screening tests, emergency information, SATS results, teacher assessment, as well as a screen to enter comments on each individual child.
