Remote Support

B Squared Remote SupportB Squared offer telephone and email support to all customers, visit the support section for more information

B Squared now offer remote support to schools. We can connect to your computer remotely to troubleshoot problems and install or upgrade software. Remote support is our premium support service, all customers receive unlimited telephone and email support and can choose to purchase the additional remote support.

Remote support can be purchased as an annual support contract or per incident;

  • Annual Support - Unlimited support, upgrading and installation of our software for a year.
  • Per Incident - Troubleshoot an issue till it is resolved or upgrade/install our software.

The software we are using is called Teamviewer. This has proved to be a very simple and useful program to use for our customers, the software is not installed on a computer and does not require any firewall settings to be changed. It works by setting up a secure connection between us and the customer. This connection is encrypted to ensure no one can gain unauthorised access to customers machines or read any of the information being sent across the internet. Whilst being simple to use, it does provide our technicians with an array of tools to help diagnose problems quickly and efficiently. All support sessions are recorded and kept for a year as a record of what actions were taken in the support session.

Limitations

 

1. Only B Squared software is supported and troubleshooted. Microsoft software and tools that B Squared software use are also covered. If other software are causing issues we will try to diagnose the issue, but we will not fix the issue.
2. Support is for supporting, upgrading, installing and migrating software on the main computer running the Connecting Steps database. We will troubleshoot client computer issues, but will not deploy software to client computers.
3. We will not support schools in the removal of viruses, malware or spyware.
4. We will not resolve major computer issues that are affecting the computer as a whole, not just B Squared software.
5. Support is offered remotely, B Squared will not visit the school to support the software as part of this contract.
6. Support is available during normal office hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
