One of the major benefits of using GAP is the ability to create custom cohorts of children such as ASD, PMLD, Out of Borough, Looked After etc. This means that students can be compared according to need, ethnicity, background or anything else that would require in depth analysis. Students can also be organised into Subject Groups so comparisons can be drawn from their performance within a particular subject.

Another feature of GAP is its ability to filter out certain criteria from reports allowing real control of the data that needs to be shown. Using this feature allows reports based on simple comparisons such as Key Stage, Year, Registration Group and Gender to be made very quickly. It is also useful for looking at a quick snapshot of students and their progression, current level or their potential at a time in the future.
