This report shows what level all the pupils within a group have achieved for English, Maths and Science, splitting the subjects into the different attainment areas. The level shown will be the lowest non completed level. At the bottom of the screen it also shows you the average level for the group for each subject. This report is a quick and easy way for finding out where all your pupils are in the core subjects. By breaking it down into each strand and having the data for all the pupils on one screen you can identify problem subjects or identify if a child has a weakness in a subject compared to their peers. The report will also show you that no 2 children are alike.

The graph for the Core Subjects report shows the average progression over time for the group in each attainment area. You can pick and choose which attainment areas are shown in the report, so it can be tailored to show just English, or just Maths etc.. The graph can show you which areas pupils find easier, if the way something is taught has been changed in the last 6 months, you can see has it benefited the pupils.
