The Target report gives a suggested Target based on the pupils previous progress. It uses the same approach as the Value Added report, it uses the progress made by the pupil between two dates to suggest a target for a third date. The suggested target is based on the individual pupil's linear progression, not a target based on the progression or a recommended target. The result is a realistic target for each pupil. As the software is used over a longer period and the school has more assessment records the targets will become more realistic. Teachers can also play with the date range to see how the target is affected, if you reduce the date range and the target level increases then you can see that the pupils progression is improving. This report like all the others can be copied into Excel or other spreadsheets, teachers can then add extra information such as a column for 'Teachers Target' so they can enter their own target for the pupil. At the end of the year the value added report can be printed off showing whether or not a pupil achieved the target. As with the other reports the average is also shown at the bottom of the screen. |
