The 3rd Virtual SEND Conference will take place on Friday 27 March 2020

Hear from SEND experts, share knowledge, get help for teachers at classroom level and save money

Only £60 per school for whole school SEND training!

With two successful conferences already delivered in 2019, B Squared can now confirm that the 3rd Virtual SEND Conference will take place on Friday 27 March 2020.

The Virtual SEND Conference focuses on helping the whole education sector to get the quality CPD needed to improve outcomes for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Delegates can attend a full day of live online SEND expert presentations from the comfort of their school, home or office OR watch the sessions later. It’s a 21st-century solution designed to support schools and professionals that is both affordable and easily accessible without reducing quality.

We are currently working hard to develop our third line up of SEND experts, ready to share their knowledge and provide actionable advice to help teachers in the classroom.

What previous attendees said

"The VSEND Conference was very objective and focused on relevant issues. I would definitely attend future events."

Melanie Appleyard, Teacher/SENCO, Canon Burrows Primary School

"Excellent content delivered in a very convenient way and at a very reasonable price. More information than I could handle in one dose - but thankfully I will be able to re-visit in my own time."

Janet Bristow, SENCO, Perrymount Primary School

"It was a really good way of gaining knowledge at a fantastic cost with excellent speakers. Really useful day. Thank you!"

Sue Edwards, CHANGE Schools Partnership

"The speakers were excellent and very knowledgeable. The VSEND conference was really good and much cheaper than lots of training around, which is essential at this time when funds are low and access to high-quality CPD can be limited,"

Louise Aldridge, Deputy Head Teacher and Inclusion Manager, Bushy Hill Junior School

What is a virtual conference?

A Virtual SEND Conference is a real conference with a big difference… you attend it online from where you are! We have taken this concept and created SEND focused conferences to help the whole education sector get the quality CPD they need. We get the best speakers from across the country to talk about a range of topics. Then we build a schedule that has something for every school and setting.

Schools can purchase access to our previous conferences and access the content immediately

FREE previews of each speaker's presentation are available to view on the website

Why B Squared?

Schools have trusted B Squared for over 20 years. Our assessment and evidence of learning products have been developed to reduce teacher workload, not increase it. Our software has been designed for teachers, helping them show the small steps of progress pupils with SEND make and helping them plan the next steps.

Early in 2018, we started running FREE webinars aimed at helping teachers to keep schools up-to-date with changing guidelines around children with SEND. We also used the webinars to offer free training and advice on assessment within schools. These webinars are very successful, especially with school budgets limiting options for teachers to get training and support. We created the Virtual SEND Conference to support teachers and SENCos in the classroom across a much wider range of areas. Register your interest TODAY to find out more about the programme and get access to exclusive early-bird discounts.

The Engagement Model – An announcement or something else?

Dale Pickles 0 839

On Monday 27th of January 2020, the DfE released draft guidance called the Engagement Model.

Strangely, it didn’t appear in the Governments announcements or the DFE Email Digest, and it doesn’t appear in the list of News and Communications from the DfE.

Why? Is it because SEND is still an after thought or is there another reason?

Dale runs our latest webinar this month. Breaking from tradition, we invited people to ask us any questions they had. Dale's webinar delivers the answers to these and expands upon them significantly and provides links to useful resources.
