Parent Talks from the Virtual SEND Conference is a series of online talks, delivered like a TV series, created to provide useful information for parents of children and young people with SEND. Hear from presenters with personal experience of SEND - parents, professionals, pioneers - who share their insights and practical advice. Season 1 launches at 10am on 26 June 2020.
CPD that you can access online has never been more relevant than in the current national crisis due to COVID-19. The good news is that we now have 33 SEND CPD videos available for your school to access immediately! Purchase all 33 videos for under £150 and share them with everyone in your school.
Exciting news!! We have partnered with The Seashell Trust to bring Parent Talks to parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
We want to help! We’ve been thinking about how the B Squared team can help our customer schools during this challenging time. We’ve put our heads together (virtually) and come up with 3 ideas for FREE help, information and advice from B Squared.
In these strange times, with many teachers and TAs working away from school, resources to support and train staff around SEND that can be easily accessed online have never been more relevant. So, we’ve put together a list of useful online SEND resources from B Squared that you can access from home or at school.
Maybe your pupils have painted the front of their house as a rainbow for the NHS, maybe they are sewing PPE for the local community, maybe they have raised money like Captain Tom Moore!! Can you see what your pupils are achieving at home? Feel connected, build positive relationships and get parents on board during the lockdown period.
Looking for training around SEND your staff can access from home? The latest Virtual SEND Conference received great feedback! Hundreds of teachers and SENCOs logged on to watch SEND experts in their fields deliver presentations on topics such as dyslexia, autism, ODD and more. If you missed it, you can still buy a ticket and watch the recordings from the website!
Last week's Virtual SEND Conference was a great success and one of our busiest yet with over 4000 views on the day! When you purchase access to a Virtual SEND Conference, it's for the whole school! So all staff can get online CPD around SEND, not just the SENCO.
The conference takes place live online on Friday 27 March, but remember you don’t have to attend on the day. You can watch the recordings afterwards and you're free to share with colleagues across your school as just one ticket (only £60) gives whole school access!
This conference series focuses on helping the whole education sector to get the quality CPD needed to improve outcomes for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). With two successful conferences already delivered in 2019, we can now confirm that the 3rd Virtual SEND Conference will take place on Friday 27 March 2020.

What's new? EVERYTHING! By everything, we mean EVERYTHING! We have literally taken the previous app, shredded it, shredded it again, thrown it in the recycling (go us) and started all over again! You were all very vocal about the bits you didn't like in the old Evisense app **cough** camera roll access **cough** and we can only thank you for taking the time to tell us.
Following the success of the 1st VSEND Conference back in March we've been working hard to develop a new line up of SEND experts, ready to share their knowledge and provide actionable advice to help teachers in the classroom. We are excited to announce the full programme for the 2nd Virtual SEND Conference taking place live online on 8th November.
A major part of KS4 and KS5 provision for learners with SEND focuses on personal skills that they will need in adult life. Steps4Life is a developmental assessment framework to assess learners working towards being fully independent. See how to easily track a learner’s progress and identify their next steps towards their goals.
Over the last year we have been working on our new framework Steps 4 Life, designed for pupils working towards functional skills, life skills and employ-ability skills. These frameworks can be used from Key Stage 3 onward. We are now at the stage where we would like to invite schools to trial our Living Skills pack. We are around 80% of the way through content creation and would like feedback on the content we have developed so far.
Our Engagement Steps assessment framework, for pupils not yet engaged in subject-specific learning, has been shortlisted as a finalist for this year's ERA awards. It was recognised in the category Special Education Resource or Equipment including ICT. The winners will be announced at an awards dinner on 22 March at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham.
The virtual SEND conference is for all professionals working with pupils with SEND, not just our customers. We are dedicated to supporting SEND and ensuring professionals have access to high quality information and guidance that they can access and afford. It will provide useful content at classroom level, tips from like-minded professionals, for the everyday challenges SENCOs & teachers face in helping children with SEND.
As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver the best knowledge/help for our teacher customers, we now offer FREE training webinars. These webinars are designed to help you get the most out of our products and help our users use the software more effectively.
