Further work is done to consider the best way to support schools with assessing pupils with EAL.
Our findings show that 97% of respondents agreed with this recommendation.
100% of respondents who identified as working in a special education provision agreed that further work needed to be undertaken in order to consider the best way of assessing pupils with EAL. We then asked respondents if they believed that pupils with EAL should be assessed separately from the rest of the school population. Only 47% of respondents felt that EAL should be assessed separately.
