We use B Squared’s Connecting Steps assessment software throughout our setting to support the learning of children and young people with SEND and evaluate the impact of our interventions. We consider it to be an invaluable monitoring tool.

Its evidence of learning tool, Evisense has really helped us improve communication with parents and how we share assessment information.

The pupils that we are assessing with Connecting Steps are able to make accelerated progress because their learning is targeted at the specific areas they need to work on. It shows the small steps of progress and means that every child feels like they have achieved on their individual journey.

Connecting Steps is a really useful tool for tracking progress. It has given us a framework for assessment that is standardised for pupils with SEN. This has been invaluable for our school as it has enabled us to measure progress, moderate our assessments and share best practice.
