Webinars are a great way for us to keep all our users up to date with what we are doing. We can easily reach a large number of users simultaneously. Our webinars will allow us to keep our schools up to date on new products, new features, how we are responding to changes from the Government and training on B Squared products. One of the best parts about our webinars is they are completely FREE!

"It's brilliant that BSquared keeps up with the all the changes and meets the DfE's latest requirement. It is enormous help for us as we are a very small special school. Thank you!"

Beatrix Szeszak, Headteacher, NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders

What is a webinar?

A webinar, or web seminar, is an online workshop whereby attendees use the internet to remotely connect to a presenter to share content. Our webinars are generally in 2 parts, a presentation covering the chosen topic, followed by a short Q&A session.

What sort of webinars will you be running?

We are running training webinars on Connecting Steps and Evisense, aimed at showing users how to get the most out of the software. Our focus is also on specific areas for example, analysis and encouraging parental engagement. We will introduce our products and how they can be used. We have also found that webinars are a great way of keeping schools up to date with changes that are coming, letting our customers know what the changes are and how we are adapting our products.

"We currently use B Squared, but I learnt things tonight about our current package that I didn't know. Something to try out tomorrow. Thank-you!"

Sarah Bowers, SEN Teacher, Overley Hall School

How many staff can be involved?

As many as you like. You have 2 options when it comes to multiple people. You can share single computer, you could use a whiteboard and speakers so a group of you can easily access the webinar. Alternatively staff can connect on individual computers. You may find using the single device option works better as there is less risk of IT issues, everyone sees the same content and watching together promotes discussion.

How do I access a webinar?

Below is a list of our upcoming webinars. When you register for a webinar you will be sent an email with instructions on how to join. You will also receive reminders just before the event on how to connect.
We use Goto Webinar software to run our webinars. You can access the webinars on a PC or Mac using the link in the email. This requires you to download and run a small program (nothing will be installed). Your computer will need speakers. You can also connect using an iPad or Android tablet by downloading the GoToWebinar app.
Your school firewall or security settings may prevent you from accessing our webinars. Please check you can connect by joining a test session using the link below.

The webinar will show how our Steps 2 Excellence assessment framework breaks down the Curriculum for Excellence from the Pre-early milestones through to Fourth Level. The framework contains the benchmarks from all 8 areas of the curriculum and will help schools show small steps of progress.

The webinar will showcase how schools can use Evisense to evidence attainment and achievements in a secure and easy to use platform. Schools can share this evidence with parents through the app or through printed reports.
